We collect information you provide directly: name, email, phone, mailing address, donation details, mission trip application answers, testimonies, and messages. We also collect limited technical data such as browser type and pages visited to keep the site secure and fast.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to process donations and issue receipts, respond to inquiries, review mission trip applications, send the field letter if you subscribe, and improve our ministry communications.
3. Donation and payment data
Payments are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor over an encrypted connection. We do not receive or store full card numbers. We retain donation records (amount, date, designation, and donor contact details) as required for tax reporting and receipting.
4. Recurring gifts
If you set up a recurring gift, your payment processor securely stores your payment method to charge future gifts on the schedule you choose. You may change or cancel at any time by contacting us.
5. Sharing your information
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate (payment processing, email delivery, hosting) under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
6. Testimonies and photos
Submitted testimonies are reviewed before publishing. We will not publish your full name, photo, or contact details without permission, and you may request removal at any time.
7. Cookies
We use minimal cookies and local storage — for example, to remember your day/night display preference and to keep the site secure. We do not use invasive advertising trackers.
8. Data retention and security
We retain personal data only as long as needed for ministry, legal, and accounting purposes. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and staff training to protect your information.
9. Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Mission trip applicants under 18 require a parent or guardian.
10. Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message or by contacting hello@ebenezerworld.org.
